This love story began in 2015, in the same manner that these things tend to these days. A mutual swipe right, a connection, promises to meet in person. But life, such as it is, does not like to give up what is worth it so easily. And so it took Noelle and Jamal over a year to finally meet in person, but when they did they fell in easily with each other. The conversation ran in all manner of directions from discussions about their common love for fine foods and music to combat sports and movies. Indeed, the spark was undeniable and while dining on fresh seafood and pasta at the West Hollywood restaurant Eveleigh, even the most casual observer could notice what Noelle and Jamal would come to realize as well. That this would be the last “first” date they would ever have.

 

In the months and years to follow, the couple used their mutual love for music to strengthen their bond together. Whether it was dancing to Childish Gambino under the warm Coachella night sky, fan-girling front row for Tame Impala at Austin City Limits, singing along to Gary Clark Jr. at the Hollywood Bowl, or bearing witness to Kanye West’s remarkable Easter Sunday Service performance, the bliss of dancing the night away to their favorite musical artist was always made better by the fact that they could share the experience with each other. 

 

Given their love for exploring new places, it is no surprise that Noelle and Jamal have created many amazing memories in different locations around the world. From ringing in the new year on the Champs Elysees in Paris, to singing along to Mary Poppins the musical in London, to taking bone marrow shots at Cannon in Seattle and chasing waterfalls in Iceland, to even watching Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Israel Adesanya compete for UFC championship belts in Toronto and Vegas, there is no corner of the Earth that they would not love to explore with each other. 

 

And so it was on a beautiful June day in 2019, that Jamal got down on one knee and pronounced his lifelong love to Noelle while on a yacht in Marina Del Rey. Noelle effusively  accepted it and just like that the two lawyers had entered into a legally binding oral agreement to be each other’s today, tomorrow and forever!
